About Your Admission

ADMISSION
Please bring along with you the following documents to facilitate a proper admission;
- Malaysian Identity Card
- Passport ( if foreigners)
- Birth Certificate if under 12 years old
- Your doctors letter or referral letter
- Guarantee letter /Insurance Hospitalisation card/deposit for self payment
FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENT/BILL SETTLEMENT
A deposit base on your estimated/anticipated is to be paid on admission. For Corporate and Insurance patients, a guarantee letter acceptable by the hospital management can be given in lieu of deposit. During your stay in hospital, you will be regularly updated on further deposit required, if any. Hospital bills become due and payable at the time of discharge
DISCHARGE
Discharge hour are between 9.00am till 5.00pm from Monday to Saturday and from 9.00am to 1.00pm on Sunday and Public Holiday.
Room charges are based on room rates irrespective of the time of admission or length of stay for the day.
All bills must be fully settled before you are discharged from the hospital. You may settle your bills by cash or credit card. Patients with guarantee letters from their employers / Corporate Companies / Manage Care Organisation approved by hospital management need not settle their own bills.
Before you leave the hospital, a discharge slip to be obtained from the account's office, which is to be given to the ward nurses, to facilitate the discharging procedure.
VISITING HOURS
To ensure the patient will have a proper and enough rest, visiting hours are from:
NURSING SERVICES (WARD)
7.00 AM – 9.00 PM
SPECIALIST CONSULTATION HOURS
MONDAY – FRIDAY : 8.30 AM – 5.00 PM
SATURDAY : 8.30 AM – 1.00 PM
SMOKING AND ALCOHOL
Smoking and consumption of alcohol within the hospital premises are prohibited. These are detrimental to a person's good health. Smoking is one of the greatest hazards in the hospital where many people are helpless and recuperating from their illness and inflammable materials being used.
VALUABLE PROTECTION
For security reason, patients are advised not to bring valuables to the hospital. If possible, all valuables should be left at home. Taiping Medical Centre does not assume any responsibility for valuables which you bring with you to hospital. / for any losses . A safe is provided in the unit/ward for the use of patients only upon request / when necessary.
